2. Massachusetts Institute of Technology

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is a private institution and was founded in 1861. It is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts in close proximity to Harvard University. 3. Yale University

Yale University is also a private institution that was founded in 1701 in New Haven, Connecticut. It runs on a semester-based academic calendar and is best known for its economics, history, political science, and drama programs. The University of Chicago was founded in 1890 in Hyde Park, IL.
